Candy Girl Party

Putting together a last minute first birthday party for my Hopey Sue while vacationing at my parents house this summer seemed oh so simple in this ever churning brain of mine, as do most of my projects while they're still in my head (or as Andy calls it "the hamster on the wheel"). But after creating my infamous "LIST" and inviting all the family we had in Idaho at the time a bit of anxiety started to creep in. A few quick trips to my good 'ol faithful Bulls eye Boutique and ransacking a craft bin I found under the bed in the guest room...and perhaps a glass of Chardonnay were all it took to make me feel a bit better about the 10 hours I had to plan and decorate a party. The party was a success!!! My daughter sugar crashed and my balloon clusters (created due to running out of time to go to the store for helium) held up in the heat.

The décor for this party consisted of:
  • 24 cupcakes and a smash cake
  • 10 balloon and tissue pom clusters
  • assorted candies for tables
  • 5 can vases
  • 3 mason jar vases
  • 20 lollipop favors
  • 3 pinwheels
